About Malik Supply A/S
MALIK SUPPLY A/S was founded in Aalborg, Denmark, in 1989 as an independent company to undertake the growing bunkering and oil trading business. Our company name MALIK originates from Greenlandic and means ‘little lake’ or ‘little wave’. This name was chosen because of our close relationship to Greenland and its local society.
In the very beginning, we primarily operated in the Greenlandic waters and in the North Atlantic Ocean supplying bunker oil, lubricating oil and other goods. From its foundation in 1989, Malik Supply A/S has however experienced a rapid and positive development in the bunkering business, and in 2011 we acquired Statoil’s Danish marine activities relating to the supply of bunkers to the marine industry. For this purpose, we founded Nordic Marine Oil A/S, a 100 percent privately owned, Danish-registered company.
Today, Malik Supply A/S is a well-known and highly respected bunker supplier. Our focus is no longer only on Greenland and Iceland, but has a global reach for which reason we have established our own worldwide trading desks in Aalborg and Fredericia, Denmark.
