MEET YULIA TYURENKOVA

My Career path:

I started out as a student assistant in the trading business, while studying at Aalborg University. After a couple of years in the IT world I returned to bunkering. I joined Malik Supply in 2017 as a Vessel Operator and now work as a Bunker Trader.

We work in an industry that is changing. I am excited for the future and looking forward to facing the challenges of future shipping and bunkering

What I do:

I help vessel owners find high quality fuel and lubes at best possible prices. Every day my morning starts with a cup of coffee, I look through my emails, check the latest oil price developments and read the news. Politics and economics altogether affect the oil prices, so as a bunker trader, I need always be 100% updated on what is going on in this big world. I am also following up with the deliveries previous day/night to make sure all went smooth, and the vessels have been supplied in time.

What drives me:

To set high standards and outperform is the biggest motivation for me. I believe that a service-oriented approach and ability to find a mutually beneficial solutions are the key ingredient to success.

At Malik Supply we work together as a team. You share knowledge and help each other out. To me that means a lot in the everyday worklife.

What I like most in my job/working at Malik Supply:

Having another cultural background and expanding the horizons has always fascinated me. That is why I like that I have a possibility to communicate across cultures both with customers and suppliers. Another important thing is that I like being a part of the team: Working together with my colleagues, helping each other with routine tasks but also having a good sparring partner. This is what I appreciate most at Malik Supply.
